Healing Kitchen
Incorporating “East meets West Healing Kitchen” concept, we work closely with integrated medical practitioners, nutritionists, natural health practitioners, therapists, professional chefs and cooking instructors in designing our nutrition courses, talks, workshops and cooking classes.
We aim to educate the importance of adopting a holistic approach towards life and achieving optimum health.
Our cooking studio is organized into 3 main pillars of education
Food Intolerance & Digestive Health
To kick-off this initiative, Ms Louise Shenton, who champion the "Food Intolerance Coffee Mornings @ Onaka, will be teaching a class on "Food Intolerance – Gluten-, Dairy-, Egg- and Soy- free Cooking". Ms Ketki, naturopath/nutritionist, partners us to conduct a talk on "Digestive Health" and I will be doing a Demo Class cum Dinner for that talk.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
A new partnership with Royal Pine TCM & Wellness Clinic, also situated within Body With Soul and part of the network of health practitioners, we have Senior TCM Physician Dr Wu Yue. He is working with Onaka to develop TCM-inspired cuisine and conduct TCM talks and workshops. In the pipeline: TCM Weight Management Program, TCM Cancer Aftercare Program, Health Qigong Classes etc…
Healing Foods: Healthy Cooking
We introduce a new class "Healing Juices, Tea & Masque" combining Afternoon Tea at our café as well as "Healthy Cooking with Kids" for our June Holiday Special Class.
We will be launching a Foundation Series in Healthy Cooking, a 4-part class to learn all about healthy cooking.
